Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully. They explain the rules for using PDFMinter.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to pdfminter.com and the PDFMinter app (the “Service”), operated by PDFMinter (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
PDFMinter lets you research trending topics using public search data and create PDF guides, checklists, ebooks, worksheets and reports. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom) to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
- Accounts are for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- create or share content that is hateful, harassing, violent, sexually explicit, or that exploits or harms children;
- publish false or dangerous claims, including misleading medical, financial or legal advice;
- upload malware or try to hack, overload or disrupt the Service;
- scrape the Service, use bots to access it, get around usage limits, or resell access without our permission;
- send spam or impersonate any person or organisation.
5. Your content
You own the PDFs and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you — for example to save your drafts, generate your PDFs and host share links you publish. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload. If you publish a share link, anyone with the link can view that PDF until you remove it.
6. Trend data and ideas
Trend information comes from third-party public sources such as search-engine suggestions, Google Trends, Reddit and Wikipedia. Demand, trend and opportunity scores are relative estimates, and competition ratings are estimates. They may be incomplete or change quickly, and they do not guarantee traffic, sales or search rankings. Suggested titles and outlines are general and may also be suggested to other users. Please check that your final title and content do not infringe anyone else’s trademarks or rights.
7. Plans, limits and payments
The Service may include a free plan with usage limits, such as a number of searches per hour or PDF downloads per month. If we offer paid plans, prices, billing periods and features will be shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe, and applicable taxes may be added. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the paid period. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. We will give notice before changing the price of a paid plan.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, templates and the PDFMinter name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use our templates and design elements inside the PDFs you create, including for commercial purposes, but you may not copy, sell or redistribute the Service or its templates on their own.
9. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on and links to third-party services and websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that its data will be accurate or complete. Content you create with the Service is your responsibility; see our Disclaimer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PDFMinter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $50.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold PDFMinter harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 5, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 14) survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you on the Site or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
